General Music Classes

MISSION STATEMENT:
​Our General Music Classes are designed to create a sincere love of music through the appreciation and participation of a successful musical experience. Within General Music, students will be challenged through learning various aspects of music. Similar to academic courses, the choices students make in regards to participation, behavior, attendance, and commitment have a direct impact on the final grade in General Music. As a result, careful attention to policies that embrace these issues is most important. Students are always encouraged to put forth their best effort in every part of this process.

Within General Music, students become familiar with various instruments, study numerous types of repertoire of music, develop their rhythmic and sight reading skills, and learn proper performance techniques. 

All TVCS Students participate in a Winter Concert, where they demonstrate skills acquired in their General Music Classes!
